http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp136/acsteve/lee158357.jpgI just got this mold and I like how they look. Wide meplate and it goes fast with a 6 holer. I havent measured them and these were very random samples. Anyone have experience with this boolit? load suggestions?

I have the same mold in the 2 cav flavor. Ran a bunch of em in various 38/ 357s today. The load that worked really well for me in 38spl. was 4gr of Universal. tight groups off hand @ 15 yds double action. My boolits drop at a weight of 162gr. Gun was a S&W mod 19 4" bbl..

3 gr of bullseye worked well also. What caliber are you planing to load for?

These are my favorite for my 38 and all of my 357's.I use 3.5 gr Bullseye for 38 and 6 gr in 357.Mine are cast of WW and air cooled.Tumble lubed with LLA.

The mold that I have looks different. The meplat is smaller and the bevel base is not quite a pronounced. I think I bought it around 2001 or so...?
I really like the looks of that.

I think I will use trailboss or titegroup in 357 cases. Have loaded some 4227 loads with 110 JHP. The 4227 really shoot well but are quite unnessissary for plinking although they shoot to point of aim. Cant wait to see how the lee boolit, tumble lubed over a light load of trailboss. If it doesnt shoot well I will up the powder and I have yet to even measure to see if they need sized.

My favorite boolit in 38/357 revolvers. 4.5 grains WW 231, .358 boolit tumble lubed in JPW, in a 38 case has been a favorite for some time now. 3.8 grains of Titegroup in a 38 case lubed with moly/beeswax lube gives 900 fps in a 4 inch barrel and has became my walking around load. These loads also have the habit of shooting to point of aim in a fixed sight 38 spl. I have the Lee six cavity and have loaded and fired literally thousands of these from my revolvers. I think it was Buckshot who referred to it as a "very boolity looking boolit".

Yep I've got that one too.

If you're adventurous, 13 grains of Alliant 410. It's not a hot load by any stretch, I say adventurous because Alliant doesn't publish metallic loading data for Alliant 410. I like it because it's bulky. 1.05 cc on my Lee Auto measure yields 13 grains. It nearly fills the case.

Well it doesn't fill the case. Rather I should say it's >90% load density.

I just shot some of these in a S&W 19-3. I tried some Rex 3 first off. 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5 grains.
None of them shot particularly well. Then I loaded up 15 gr. 4227. That load shot pretty much as good as I could hold.

I've shot thousands of that bullet over 3.9 - 4 grains of Bullseye, Solo 1000 and Trail Boss. Loads run about 800- 850 fps and easily make minor for USPSA and ICORE.

They are very accurate from all of my revolvers.

Looks like you are doing a fine job casting them.
