Been looking for a 32 for a while and had a barrel fall in my lap (I think mainly to help keep me off my feet). It's old and kinda rough. Somebody back-bored the lat 8 inches so I got 3 choices.

1) Cut the front off. I'll do this first either way, hopefully it'll shoot good and I won't have to worry about the other 2 options.
2) Reline
3) Rebore to 36, this thing is heavy and going up a step will help.

Money's always tight, I've got most of the parts I need to get started. I need a rough estimate of prices from anybody who's looked at having both done. I've looked at a few links in threads here, but a few recommended don't have websites and most don't list prices.

Hoyt charged me $100 to rebore and rifle a barrel from ..54 to .58 recently.

Thanks. Probably cost that much for a liner (can't find one listed in 32, mostly 45 and 50) and that in labor. Hopefully won't need to.

At least call Bob Hoyt.
He can tell you what your options are before you decide if you are going to do it for you.

Hoyt did a 50 to 58 for me recently as well it's a round ball shooting machine. It was $100 ish plus shipping.

I have had multiple barrels done by Bob over the years. Recently he did a rebore on a Knight .50 (pitted barrel) and made it a .54 round ball twist (1-60"). He does good work and his shop number is # 717-642-6696.

If the breach plug is stuck, will he drill that out?
