Id need a .406 sizing die made. I shoot 40-82 and I resize all my bullets using an old ideal reloading tool, so one in a press would speed up the process alittle.

I tried buffing out a .401 die but I made it alitttle to big. So I would like to get one professionally made if possible.

I live in Canada so I dont have alot of options sadly :/

I think that Buffalo Arms will made those for you or Lasesmith who is a member here will also make those

S & S Firearms in New York makes custom size dies, just bought a .432 size/lube die.

Sounds to me like you want a Lee type push through die to go in a reloading press instead of an H&I die for a lubrisizer, if I'm reading your post correctly.

Any machine shop or if you know someone with a metal lathe (not that common anymore) should be able to make one for you. It is basically a 7/8-14 bolt with a .406" hole through it.

Question, have you slugged your bore or are you going by the accepted bore dimensions? I read back through your posts on the 40-82 and did not see any reference to the bore being slugged ... I use a .410 plated in my 405 win, and my Friend uses the same bullet in His 40-82 86 Win. There may be an issue with the chamber neck diameter using the .410 bullet seated deep, but your chamber may be suitable. worth a try..

Try the one you made a bit large first it may work for you just fine!
You can also order custom sizes from Lee the push though die is nice.
