After initiations on 10mm, I now moved on to 9mm. This time I had a newly built PID unit hooked up and set to 725 degrees.

I am very pleased how they turned out. I only had 15 duds out of 450. These will be PC’d and shot in our Glocks.

I’m beginning to feel more comfortable and enjoying it more!

Thanks again to all/Tater!

Looks good from here. That is one of my most useful boolits.

Thank you sir! I hope it shoots well. I’ve read where it should.

yes they do look good and only 15 culls out of 450 is way better than I can brag about. The 'dud' word threw me off at first... LOL

I understand that temperature & alloy will affect size, but what is the as cast diameter?

My old S&W Model 59 loves that bullet.

That is how I like mine to look. I settled on V-N340 for my most accurate load from a 1911.

I’ve settled on WSF. Have on hand and have loved it in 45ACP for a very long time. Looking to dupe a factory round POI/velocity, if possible.

Thank You! Thinking of trying it in 38/357.

I have used that bullet. I have found that if you try to push it faster than 1050 fps the accuracy drops. This is a PC bullet sized at .3570. The firearm is a CZ 75B.

Very nice indeed! Your mold must have been at the ideal temp !

I have WSF also but V n340 is cleaner burning for me.

I am loading some more today in 38 special. I got a 1.6'' 10 shot bench group @25y the first try with a mild load of 3.7 American Select. It is a 9mm style boolit but I have a 1 in 14'' twist model 19 S&W which helps. My mold drops these at .360 so I can size the 120 boolit to .358 or .356.

Very encouraging. I would like to try it in a Rossi 92 levergun as a plinking load. Tried lee 105 swc and lee 125 rnfp. The 125 gives better accuracy, but neither one really shoots all that well in my rifle with the loads I've tried so far.

That bullet over 4-4.5 Bullseye in a K frame .38/.357 or Rossi 92 will group 2" or less@50 yds. Same same with the Lee 125 RNFP.

Looks good. I use that boolit in .38 Super and just started using it in 9mm.

I’d be interested in what you guys use for COAL with this bullet. TIA

That will probably vary according to the individual firearm. The best thing to try is to look at the side of the boolit where the sizing process leaves marks. Put the edge of the sizing marks even with or just slightly in front of the case mouth. This will usually work even if your pistol has no throat to speak of.

If your barrel has more of a throat, you can load them with the marks out of the case a bit further.
Load one or two and test them in your barrel to see if they drop in okay.

Yessir, I’ve done that. Function test on two Glock pistols are good to go. I just saw numbers all over the place. Thanks again, Tazman.

I have several different 9mm handguns and nearly all have different OAL requirements due to differences in throat dimensions. Some have very sloppy combat style chamber that will accept nearly anything and others have match chambers that have very picky and tight tolerances.
I set those boolits up just as I described to you, so that they will function in ANY of the handguns without worry. I may not get the absolute best accuracy available out of any particular gun, BUT, that load works in each and every one of them and I am not good enough to tell if the accuracy would be any better with a slightly different OAL.
That system works for me so that is what I go with.
