I have a few of these in my inventory to include some with rifled barrels. Is there any round ball loads for these guns? I have obtained some full brass cases for it and would love to shoot some black powder round ball loads in it. TIA

I don't have a Husqvarna 28 gauge, although I would love to find one someday, I think we will be looking to you for loading advice ! If I were loading black, I'd try about 55 grains 2ffg, and a lubed felt wad, and an Alox tumble lubed ball of bore diameter.

I do have a Husky 12 ga. with straight rifling, and haven't yet fired a round ball load in it. For it I'll probably go with 80 grains Fg, card wad and a felt wad, then an appropriate sized round ball. Probably not many Swedish moose shooters left, that used the old rolling block shotguns. I'll bet they could give us some advice, along with some interesting stories.

I too have a few of the rifled barrel BP shotguns made by Husqvarna. I have not shot them but it sounds to be a winter project.

What size is the barrel. Multiple companies make round ball molds, I'm sure you will find one if you know the size you need.

.535 patched round ball might be close-if it will fit in your brass cases.

RGRWJB, is there any difference in the model 8 action and a Husqvarna 33? I have a straight stock 33 with a full length forend wood and wiping rod, which will chamber '38-55 brass. What a beautifully designed little rifle! I think I saw a photo of a smoothbore version, with the full length keyed forearm, was that a Model 8 ? I also have a well used example of a 12 guage fullstock model, which I need to try to get a pheasant with, and maybe even a deer !
