Hey Tpr. Bret - way back when on the Shooters board you posted a question about the 32-20 and heavy bullets. Singleshot gave some 145 & 174 grain bullets and loads as suggestions to use. Did you ever put them to use? I was wondering how the slower twist rate in most 32-20’s would stabilize such a long bullet. You had a Stevens 44, I have a Hopkins & Allen falling block and a Contender and I’m thinking of trying some longer bullets. So far the biggest bullet I’ve tried is the 311410 at 130 grains and it does well - it’s the best I’ve found so far for my Marlin. Thanks, Stan

Standahl- When'd you get here? Glad to see you. Any ways, the heavier 32WCF boolit project is number 345,686,869 on my top 1,000,000,000 list of things to do. So, no yet. Hope to try the 311440 soon.

I have a lot of heavy bullet loading data for the .32-20. It is from Jim Harris and was generated from a strong single shot pistol so I don't know how acceptable this would be for use in a revolver or older rifle. This format messes with the neat chart form it is in and stretches it out about 3 times too long to post. Send me your email address if you want and I will sent it to you that way.

Well, Tpr. Bret, I gave you 4 years to get that project together, guess I'll have to do it myself! BTW, it looks like I got here the same time you did - March 2005. (I just don't show up as often.)

Scrounger - email sent, thanks for the reply, Stan
