I bought some once fired 357 mixed range brass. Fed and Winchester brass all in the range of 1.285 and 1.90. Some brass was nickol and a brand of cbc . The cbc brass ran 2.751 fired and1.281 sized. Would you seperate and adjust seater or pitch it? 155 grain swc mid range with 2400 powder.

Send it to me. I'll even cover postage. I have no issue with segregating by length and adjusting my sizer and crimper accordingly. :-D

I try to trim all my case's to a specific length for each cartridge.

If these were mine and shorter than what I was all ready shooting I'd make the effort to keep it seperate.

Keep em separate and use em for making 358429s for the S&W and other short cylinder guns. The 358429 wont chamber (in S&Ws) when loaded in full length 357 brass, and loading it in 38 brass creates the potential problem of it getting used in a gun that cant handle the load. Shortened 357 brass marked as such is a great way to take care of that. It still says 357 on the headstamp and will fit.

Absolutely seperate it. As much as .010" variation in brass length is a large variation in either crimp or in the seating depth and the available powder capacity thus the consistency of the powder burn and . . . the consistency of accuracy.
