yesterday I returned my 230 TC tumble lube mold to the lee factory. It was dropping bullets out of round with dia between .460 and .454 I wonder how much run around I'll get with this one.

................I doubt any at all. If you have that much OOR they'll for sure send you a new one back. Probably with no note (apology) or anything. But there shouldn't have any issue over it.

they emailed me today and told me that it was sent to plant 3 for repairs and should be returned to me by the end of the week.

i got it back on monday. Drops bullets at .453, .0004 out of round. Now thats acceptable. They did it with the same mold blocks I sent them, how I don't know, I thought it was pretty well screwed up. Hopefully I can get some casting done this weekend. I tried "snow dropping" bullets, man those things get hard, shiney too.

..............I'd say .0004" OOR was acceptable 8). That's about 1/6 the thickness of a piece of 9# onionskin airmail paper!

The PIN(??) that holds the mold to the handle disappeared( CANNOT find it) during casting. Lee wants to SELL me another mold. marlin

............That's BS. For less then 50 cents (.37 postage and 10 cents or less for the pin) they could keep a customer happy. Heck, I even bet you'd be willing to pay a buck for a new pin and shipping. I'd get ahold of Richard Lee and suggest that very same thing, but I'd be darned if I'd buy a whole new mould!
