Arthritis in my left thump has me investigating an alternative left hand hold on the forearm of my M1A SOCOM. It already has a pistol grip carbon fiber folding stock. I’ve never been a fan of the vertical fore grips but it is what it is. I’ll be replacing the small six o’clock rail that I had removed.

I write for advice on the best vertical foregrip to attach to the reinstalled bottom rail. I’ll probably need a full grip not just a knob to cope with the arthritis pain.

Enquiring minds want to know.

I read that the grip pod that farmbif mentioned is popular with some of our combat troops over there.

Thanks farmbif and Texas by God. Sounds like a good place to start and I’ll keep you posted.
