Who says cast boolets aren't as accurate as j word bullets? I shot my HCP range test today with a S&W Sigma Allied Forces model in 9MM using a Lee 124GR RN boolet sized to .357, lubed with White Label BAC over 4.7 grains of Super Field with Win SP primers in Winchester cases and scored a perfect 100 with 48X's, all in a rain storm! I'm sure glad them cast boolets ain't very accurate! That ol Smif has seen it's last condom bullet!

Well all I can tell you is that if you keep that up you will be shooting them out of all of your handguns and next will be rifles. Before too long you will be using them to hunt with. Ask me how I know?
Best wishes from the Boer Ranch,

Most of the people that say cast isn't accurate are the people that do not shoot them.

Yeah, those 225gr RN I cast for my G30 are horribly inaccurate too. [smilie=1:

How true!:drinks: Last sunday I got first place, scored a 466-8x at our 200 yd. CMP match shooting cast in the ole 03A3 thats up againts mostly AR's and garands all shooting those fancy modern jacketed bullets. Yeah those cast boolits cant compete. let them keep on thinking that ,theirs cost 18.00 per 100 what a waste of money!!!!!!

If it weren't for casting/paper patching, my favourite rifle would be delegated to wondering what to do with it.
It ain't like you can take them out of a box, stuff em in a case, and win something.
What I have learned from casting, sizing, wrapping, is amazing. I thought I knew something. Hah!
All I really knew was that boolitts could be cast.
Now I know what they were talking about.
My Enfield is more accurate with casting, than jacketed. They only make a .312 jacketed bullet for my Smelly. I really need a .313.
Only way to get that is with casting. I got 20min of berm with jacketed with that rifle, I get them in the black and better. With a new trigger, maybe better.
Casting, in my rig is the only way to go.
Besides, I really enjoy it all.

I have one of the Lee 338 molds and had a 70win rebored to 338-06 i loaded 20 and wanted to see how it would shoot with cast. I set up at 50yds and shot 1 time. Boolit was 1/2 low. I shot second time, no hole, shot 3rd time no hole. Shot at the printing about 4in to left hit bottom of the T in target shot 5th time no hole NO they dont shoot straight

Thanks Guys,
Seems like I found out what a bunch of others already knew! That particular boolet and load IS the best thing I've ever put in that particular pistol. Now if I can just find something as good for a few more!

If you ever shot in compitition you would know how good they are.I have shot in matches with some of the best Hamilton, Colt and others.no where near as good as those two.50 yrds they can take the X out.me I could keep in the black and win a few in my class.:coffee: [smilie=1:
