I am in the process of building a 6.5WSSM gun for F-Class and I said to myself, self, that little case would fill up real nice with 2400 or some Blue Dot. What do you guys think? The case will take 65,000 PSI or so, and I'm thinking with 160 class rounds that I could get some decent velocity with very little dead space in the case. Oh, no; if this works I see a bunch of different calibers based on that fat, short case. This chambering will be with fitted necks, so I don't have much neck to expand. Perhaps .001-.002" total. Wouldn't need much pressure to seal the chamber and keep the cases clean. I love it, precision rifles with cast boolits. If I decide to do this, I'll keep you all posted.
