My neighbor knows nothing about guns and has a Black Knight 50 caliber rifle sans breach block (and firing mechanism? I'm not sure what is supposed to be there.

I have been on their website multiple times to try to see what he needs to get the gun functioning again - and am completely confused. Their help line gave one word answers last year in the COVID epidemic - not helpful.

Is anyone familiar with this rifle and knows what his options are?

That rifle is also known as the BK-92. Try this link https://www.muzzleloaders.com/product/209-primer-ignition-50-cal-muzzleloader-conversion-kit/

Your going to need the breach plug, a 1/4-28 nipple and the cocking piece/striker assembly not to mention a breach plug wrench. The bk-92 black knight used the same parts as the mk-85 it just had a plainer stock.

some used a plastic case that you primed with a large pistol primer

Thanks, NY Firefighter. He is a long distance truck driver and just got back yesterday, I just got the rifle today. His problem is that he also does not have the bolt/striker for it either.

I have an e-mail in to sales@knightrifles but don't expect and answer until next Tues or Wed.

Bought one new back around 92' or so. Was around $400 if I remember. I upgraded the ignition to 209 when the upgrade came out. Shot a red fox and one deer with it at 297 yards with open sights. Traded it off to a buddy in the late 90's and never missed it. It was never IMO an accurate rifle. The first year the Omega came out it went away.

Yup, bolt sleeve on order, 209 breech block in hand. Manual in my e-mail and have to forward it to him to print. I think he will be good to go. I have powder and boolits for the sabots.
