I’ve been looking for an accurate shooting bullet for a G17. I’ve been working with a Lee 356-125 RF but haven’t been super successful getting the accuracy I want using a Ransom Rest.

I’ve been looking at this mold and am looking for first hand experience.

Thanks!

359 125 hp is the one I use. Bullets drop 123-124 grains after powdercoat. 5.1 grains power pistol, overall length 1.095. Bullets get passed through a lee 358 size die. That is my cz p09 duty pet load that I did my accuracy workup for.

It runs every gun I have tried it in. Smith Shield and m&p 9 #1 and 2, hk pistol, high point c9, b&t carbine. I am sure there are more I am forgetting.

It's should be close enough to work.

What kind of groups are you getting with different ammunition from that gun?

Please tell about your casting and loading process that information is critical to accuracy and troubleshooting.

Get the mold if it's what you want. It's a superior bullet and mold design. The lee handles fit the mp mold better than the mp handles.

Be safe.

RFL,

My 9mm experience - heavy on Glocks - is primarily documented here: https://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?121607-Setting-up-for-boolits-in-a-new-9mm The quick synopsis:

Select your brass-sizing hardware carefully, & use a .357" diameter bullet.

I have two of Miha's molds for my .455 Webley and his quality is excellent, but as all but one of the seven 9mm's I have slugged are .356", a .357" bullet is probably what you want (working well for me, anyway).

My G17 is a stock Gen 5 MOS sporting a 2 MOA dot Holosun. 135 grain NOE/Ranch Dog tumble luber atop 3.7 grains of Bullseye at 1030 fps is generating an SD of 10 over the chronograph - it's as accurate as I'll ever need.

Thank you, I think you will really like the mold if you decide to get it. It has been accurate in my 92 Beretta (full size and compact), Sig P938 and M&P9c.
