I'll bore you for a few seconds with my thoughts which mean nothing except me . When I put up a hymn or praise song I actually think about each one I put up . Sometimes it's a well know 'artist' , sometimes is just a child and at times an old person that doesn't have the voice they use to .

Prayer is much the same . The most sincere prayers I have heard were simple and honest . A single person pouring their heart out to our GOD...that is prayer .

When I talk/pray to the Father , I do so just like I were talking to my own earthly father. Just my everyday self, as a fallible human.

When I hear someone publically praying (especially loudly) in an unnatural voice, with sudden rising and falling volume for emphasis, and spiced with "Thou arts" (which are only 1611 Shakespearean English, it's not Biblical) I suspect they've had a lot of practice getting their public theatrics just right.

I know God is not hard of hearing. And, unlike Satan, what I read in his Book strongly suggests he's never been impressed with chanting or staged religious performances. (Hummm ... as an aside, I wonder if the Popes have ever thought of that?)

In Christ alone my hope is found, all other ground is sinking sand ...
