DOD UAP report ?

well my back's screwing with me something fierce today so ive been doing a bunch of reading and watched some youtube.
anyway for you folks that have experience in DOD or if you don't ,

I'm wondering why all of a sudden would the DOD just this year be releasing information saying that UFO's are real and they don't know what they are? yeah I know Marco Rubio wanted a report, but the DOD has kept stuff under wraps for decades and put out a lot of hulabalooey when there was any kind of UAP sighting that made it in the news from credible sources.


saw a couple very in depth news reports that were just released including the one from showtime.
and another from Australia, 7 news spotlight, that did bunch of research with DOD personal here and in Australia.

1. UFO/UOP provides an ability to scream $$$ "We Need more Money".

2. DoD gets to ask for more $$$ to give to Universities for "Research". Many Universities refuse to let Military on grounds unless they get the payola. Remember that DoD is NOT the uniformed US Military; the DoD is really 700,000 people Plus 4 to 10 times that number of "Contractors". Many of those non-uniformed members owe their existence to the ties between DoD and the Universities.

3. DoD uses the UFO/UAP reports as cover for their experiments and development of new technologies. More than once myself and others have used the "Green Aliens are kept there" as a diversionary joke to a question that we could not answer because of Classification issues and trying to divert attention away from a physical area or area of conversation.

4. By definition; if it's a UFO/UAP - then most people (all?) don't know what it is.

I've noticed all the newspaper headlines are geared and slanted to cause worry and fear , what could be a positive story is now spun into a "Gloom and Doom" headline and story .
I'm tired of it ... We are Americans , we can all pull together and do anything that needs doing .
Our country isn't racisist ... a black man was elected President Of The United States ...not once but twice for crying out loud ... I don't hate anyone , I love all my fellow Americans and Proud of what we can do together .

I really don't think its political, and has nothing to do with me no longer able to discuss politics here, it was under trump's tenure that put the line in the bill that said report to congress had to take place and it was released under Biden executive branch.

there is a bit in one of those videos that cemented it for me where the radar operator and fighter plane pilot from Nimitz realized that the object, whatever it was engaged with the plane then was waiting for the pilot at the CAT point, a way point that only a handful of top brass knew the pre determined location of.
I don't know why but these guys are no joke they were serious and I trust what they were saying it what really happened. I have a pretty good male bovine excrement meter and it has served me well all my life. guess im just curious and the fact that I saw something in the sky like 40 years ago that I can't explain and watched fighter jets try to chase it, has made me curious I guess since then.

The behavior of the craft in question is well beyond any capabilities that we currently have at our disposal. Some say that they are black ops craft like the blackbird was back in the day, but it goes well beyond that level.

Many make the claim that there is no way to travel faster than the speed of light, yet not 200 years ago, the concept of flight was inconceivable. Image where we might be 10,000 years from now? An alien culture that developed 10,000 years ahead of us on the same technology curve would have certainly come up with jaw dropping technology.

While I do not believe the very rare encounters where trained and qualified people experienced something unexplainable were because of entities not of this Earth I can very well believe there would be concern they were due to some other Earthly power (i.e. some other country). We have had a technological edge over our adversaries for decades now. To encounter something that exceeds our abilities has to be concerning. Naturally there would be a reluctance to come out publicly with "the Russians/Chinese/etc have fielded something better than we have" so passing it off as a UFO or whatever would be a way of cloaking that.

I have no idea what those encounters were, but Occam's Razor leads me to believe they had an Earthly explanation even if we do not yet know what that explanation is. Extraterrestrial entities would require some clear and extraordinary evidence. Thus far that hasn't been shown.

I for one, don’t find UFO’s that far fetched. There have been hundreds of thousands of reported sightings in the past 75 (nuclear knowledge) years, easily 10% of which were made by LEO and military personnel. Mankind’s technological development went to warp speed not long after the frequency of the sightings picked up. It’s not all that hard to imagine we got a tech-boost from somewhere.
Scientists estimate there are over a million planets in the universe that are capable of sustaining life similar to ours. I find the whole thing easily more plausible than the drivel being dispensed from DC.

I believe that the laws of physics that apply in our solar system apply thruout time and space. I believe that light travels at the same speed thruout all of space which goes on forever. For some living creature, whatever form it takes would have the travel at the speed of light for millions of generations to make it to our solar system. This means these beings would have had to start on their journey long before our earth was formed. Very hard to believe, for me at anyway.

One Alien's vote is just as good as another Alien's vote ... we got to get that stinking I. D. requirement blocked ... I'm not sure if the Inter Galatic Driving Permit has a photo on it .

I was thinking about if I believed in UFO's and Space Alien's ... I've never seen one ...but then I've never seen Jesus either !

As a young lad in the early 60's I, along with my sister and parents saw a UFO in Louisville Kentucky. We were stopped at a T intersection (3rd in line at the stop sign) with a large field across from us. In that field hovering less than 100' above the ground was a craft that even today cannot be described. The occupants of the 2 cars in front of us had gotten out of their vehicles to watch it as did we. It was totally quiet with strobe lights on the bottom edge just hovering. After a short time (couple of minutes) it moved slightly left, right, and then in a flash left in a streak of light, still not making a sound. Once it left, we got back in our vehicles and left. Nothing in the newspaper the next day.

I don't think anyone in our world had the technology needed to achieve what we saw that evening. Haven't seen anything like it before or after. Kinda makes one wonder. Seeing can make a believer. YMMV
