Hm. Doesn't seem like that good of a deal, if you ask me. I purchased this (http://www.midwayusa.com/midwayusa/staticpages/highres/496285.jpg) Lyman mold from Cabelas for $15.00.

Yeah, well, that pretty much sums up my ebay impression across the board.

How lazy can a person be? The same computer that pulls up ebay, will pull Midsouth's, Midway's, Natchez's, etc. catalog.

When the seller saw that, he probably said the same thing Nobama was saying all night long on election night...

GOTCHA SUCKA!

Take a hard look at the pictures - see the notorious "Reversed N" in the logos?
Those reversed N ingot moulds are like candy to the fleabay crowd - VERY <Ahem!> collectible. I suppose that ingots cast in those moulds gain magical powers or somrthing...

You will never convince me that ebay has not trained idiots to overpay for stuff because of years of strawbuyers. It smells, tastes, and sure looks like it. I do buy stuff on ebay, but I never pay more than I should.

If you were gonna bid on those ingot molds (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110335087281&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR4 0%26_trksid%3Dm38.l1313%26_nkw%3D110335087281%26_s acat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1)you missed your chance. Some saavy shopper hit the buy it now button for $50 with S & H for $10.00. What a deal - $60! ~~ cough cough. Man if I was selling them no one would bid. You could almost go in business buying them retail from Cabelas for retail at $15 each and sell them on fleebay.

I think it's the rust that sets them apart from those "New" ones you'd find at Natchez or the like. The rust makes them collectors items.

I need to put my collectors item round ingots (read: muffin tin) up for sale on ebay.

And that's why I play the game. Every now and again, the fantastic deal comes home.

One of those ingots sold on e bay or something like $60.
<
Heck - I wish I'd bid! At $60 per ingot, I could cast -oh, maybe - 50 grand worth of ingots in a single session...
<
And I wouldn't have to scrounge wheel weights either. I could buy VIRGIN alloy and still turn a handsome profit!
<
And you guys thought that buyer was foolish...

And it doesn't matter at all because the auction still works the same way. High bidder wins.

If I read it right, how about $90 for a Lyman turret. I don't know what it should be but this seems excessive. Item number: 120354802108

that guy makes them. I would say they would take some time to make. I thought they would be good to have. May sell a AA press so I can buy the head
I got the molds that I posted about both in the boxes and one has not been used.
