How long is the 93gn Lyman boolit?

I punched some numbers into quickload. guessing at .6" bullet length and loaded length of .984".
Then 2gns of Bullseye shows
720fps @ 20.3ksi from a 2" bbl.
Going to 2.2gns puts is over pressure.
This is all just a BIG guess though.
send back the bullet length and barrel length and I'll try to get it closer.

just selected a boolit for the following measurements:

length .5785/.579
as cast diameter in linotype .314
weight unsized/unlubed 97 grain

this is the Lyman 93 grain design, I checked the scale with a 50 gr Sierra 22 jacketed bullet to see if it was off, it was right on at 50 gr for the test

surprised it was that heavy in lino.....

thanks

That bullet sounds almost like a Lyman 313226 which isn't for a 32 acp but a 32 Long or similar rounds. I'd be little leary of starting out with that load lar45 gave you as I have a Lyman mould specifically for the 32 acp and my bullet comes out at about 80 grs from a softer alloy. With 2.0 grs of Bullseye and shot out of my Walther PP the load is mighty hot, mighty hot indeed. I sure wouldn't want to shoot that same load with you bullet especially with it's heavier weight and being alot harder then a softer alloy.

That's one thing I don't like about Quick Load, it may be close but in this little 32 acp close can spell disaster. Cut your starting load back to 1.5 grs of Bullseye and try that first. Lest you thing 1.5 grs is anemic wait till you pull the trigger, you'll be surprised.
