45 colt w/216-227 gr cast projectiles

Hey All
I have been scouring and searching but cannot find any info for loading the following 3 cast out of my Ruger New Model Blackhawk.
(note all three came out of the same mould - just different pins). All three are powder coated with flat base and no gas check.
227 Gr SWC FP
222 Gr SWC Cup
216 Gr SWC HP

I have looked at the Hodgdon and Lyman Cast Bullet 4th Ed for recipes. Here is what I found listed that doesnt exactly match what I have.

215 Gr Cast LRNFP CFE-Pistol 8.2-9.5 Gr/Titegroup 6.2-7.2 Gr
230 Gr Cast LRNFP Titegroup 5.8-6.5 Gr
250 Gr Cast LRNFP CFE-Pistol 8.4-9.2 Gr/Titegroup 5.0-6.2 Gr (threw this one as it listed CFE while the 230 Gr did not)

Lyman
230 Gr Cast Titegroup 5.3-6.7 Gr

I am trying to figure out a starting point with my 227Gr FP and work up a load and then use it for the lighter projectiles to see how they perform. Any starting suggestions would be most welcome. (NOTE- the only listed powders in both sources that I have are CFE-Pistol and Titegroup - so please do not recommend other powders as they are unobtainable right now.)

I've used 5.5grs TiteGroup under a Lee 225gr TC for 25?yrs.

Hodgdon Cowboy Pamphlet (1/03) list Titegroup; 5.0-6.5grs for a 225gr - 230gr Bullet.

As long as seating depth is not radically different. I used this load with Saeco, Lee, RCBS, Lyman & Magma bullets interchangeably, with never a problem.

I loaded a very similar cast hp bullet in 45acp. I tested it with a Springfield 5" 1911a1. Impact velocity in the 850-900 fps area. It destroyed the 1st water jug punched a leak in the 2nd jug but did not penetrate the jug. Depends what you are looking for. I used the MP Mold 453490 with the large hp.

Use starting data for the heavy boolits. .45 is easy to load for if you don't try to max it out. While I run a few max unique loads it is rare. I enjoy the .225-230 cowboy loads.
