It's a Larsen & Winterros system Lever Action Shotgun . Made in Belgium between 1875-1890 . I have seen posts on them claiming that they might be from one of the Scandinavian country's but the proofs are Liege . Larsen was from Norway .

Hint on the pretty rifle. They might have made as many as 10 rifles all together . This rifle they only made three of .

And if the over 70 memory banks are kicking right the Evans was also knicky-named " the grapevine".

Having a problem posting a picture of an 1886 Bullard rifle action that is disassembled. The rifle had a rack and pinion, a carrier like an 1883 Win. and a rolling block. It was considered on of the smoothes lever guns but was way more expensive than a Winchester.

He may look like a 'rag-tag baredfooted Indian'...but I'm glad I wasn't born in his era!

Apache, North American Indians who, under such leaders as Cochise, Mangas Coloradas, Geronimo, and Victorio, figured largely in the history of the Southwest during the latter half of the 19th century. Their name is probably derived from a Spanish transliteration of ápachu, the term for “enemy” in Zuñi.
