They just look so darn cute all lubed and ready to go. I just have to appreciate them for a while. Kinda hate to dip into a full container because then it's not full anymore.

Don't worry they will be loaded and shot. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210801/7b6b8d2f423724659eb55eb859c1aedb.jpg

I firmly believe it is never a bad thing to have a good quantity of ready cast boolits as long as I can store them with out them getting messed up.

BTW pizza box lids make excellent card board for making custom size boxes to hold the cast boolits in. Only tool needed besides the knife to cut the pizza box is a stapler to secure the box into shape. If you make the boxes the same size they will stack up, three tall even with a couple of hundred 200gr 35cal boolits in each box. A slightly more difficult box is one with the lid built in. It makes a more secure box for longer storage of the cast boolits.

That's cool.
When I feel like doing a bunch of casting, I'll clear the deck, and do enough in each cal. to last me at least a year or two.

Sometimes I get a little carried away and cast, size, & lube enough of one cal. for a few years.
I store all them in the new generation plastic coffee or powdered creamer cans.

I use gallon sized buckets I get from work in a restaurant for storage. I can get a couple thousand 223's, at least a thousand 358's, and 1500 270's in each. I try to keep a container of one full with another getting filled. It seems to work for me.

I use the mixed nut containers from Sam's or Costco. You can fit 200 loaded .45 colt in said container.

I understand completely. In my circle of friends who are also shooters; I am about the only one who casts. Plus I reckon I am still about 11 years old at heart, and I really like casting lead. So I do have a bit of pride in showing off my new shiny boolits. It is not quite the same after I have tumble lubed them, but it does still give me a twinge when I dip into a full box of lubed boolits.

Nice looking batch of bullets!

I'm a bit of a forward thinker though.
I cast a good sized batch of bullets,, and store them. I also cast enough to enjoy shooting. When I get time,, I try & cast up as much of my alloy as possible,, into bullets. That way,, if I were to suddenly depart this world,, my family can sell bullets quicker & easier than my alloy or whatever raw lead I have stored. However,, I've never caught up to the point of NOT having any alloy to cast. But I do have a lot of cast, PCed, & sized bullets awaiting the time I either load them, or they get sold.

I found using sealed Plastic Containers keeps Lead locking shiny, compare that to Buckshot keep in a Wooden Box. All are stored under normal fairly Dry Temperatures.286911

But they leave right after you dance with them.

Those look fantastic. I was able to set and cast all thursday.. hope to be lube and sizing tonight.

I save jelly and pickle jars.. anything glass with a screw on lid. makes great storage.
