Prayer for us, lost my Mom

Mom passed away yesterday. She’d been battling cancer 6 years. I was there with her and she went peacefully and had a smile on her face. I think she made her peace with God, and is in heaven.

We appreciate any prayer that folks can offer, even if it isn’t publicized. If anyone would like to send flowers or help just a few dollars we are asking donations be sent directly to the funeral home to help pay expenses. Manakee funeral home 270-769-6341

I was very close with her, and we have lived here with her, taking care of her. I miss her badly.

Thanks all. She used to listen to all my gun chatter as well as everything else. Prayer helps and things are hard so I need as much as I can get. As does my wife and 2 year old. The hardest thing I think is when it’s supper time, he goes to the door to her side of the house and calls for her. My wife and I cry so hard when he does that.

Preciate all the thoughts and prayers. And I’m sure there are those who are praying but didn’t post openly, thank you to those people as well.

Mom loves her coffee. Strong and black, maxwellhouse. She got me hooked on it. I used to be in my gun room, and she’d be in our part of the house visiting. So I’d ask, and she’d go make a pot and bring me a cup of the evenings.

I’ve got her single six, and a few other things that mean a lot to me. The single six, I gave to her 8-10 years back. I bought it, used, and returned it to ruger and they refinished it. Well it was so pretty when it came back, mom really wanted it. So I gave it to her. She kept it in the desk drawer for home defense. She also purse carried it occasionally. And we all shot it. For a while I had my own at my house, but it went away, and I just used hers whenever I wanted.

I took it out yesterday and shot a few. Trying to act normal, but it wasn’t nearly as fun as normal.
