View Full Version : Anyone know offhand what bore size is on Henry 45/70 single shot?

I'm strongly considering a Henry 45/70 single shot - primarily for fun shooting with both BP and smokeless loads - not pushing it hard - a "play gun". I couldn't find anything on Henry site - starting to look at molds but need to know what I need. It will strictly be a cast shooter.

Anyone have one that they have slugged the bore or know for sure what Henry makes for the bore size? IIRC, I thought someone posted about it here sometime in the past year or so but I couldn't seem to dig it up.

Many thanks!

Jim

.

It's exactly to SAAMI specs, with a .456" groove diameter.
