Reading a trade magazine I hear Lipsey's is getting a run of 44 Special Blackhawk with a Flattop frame. I have a feeling they will sell briskly. Wonder what they gonna want for one. My hope is Ruger will see the interest and make it a standard chambering

Got my order in for a 5 1/2" model from them.

My gunshop guy says $450-460 friendly price.

#2 son tried to order one and the 5 1/2" models are all gone. Only the 4 5/8" models left. Supposedly there were to be 1,000 of each barrel length made.

I'm impatiently waiting for my number to come up./beagle

Too bad the 5 1/2's are already spoken for. Already have a 4" Model 624. Would have liked the Blackhawk with the longer barrel.

I got my order in for a 5 1/2 model, but from what I read here,it may already be too late.

I talked with a local dealer who is big in the business. He said nothing is out there yet (from talking to Lipseys), but he should have them around the first part of Feb.

I'd imagine in a year or so they SHOULD be a std production item. At least they would be if Ruger's Beancounters had half a brain.

If that were the case we could still buy the 38-40/10mm and 30 carbine/32-20 Buckeye specials.

You have to wonder about Ruger sometimes. They were supposed to bring out this gun 50 years ago and when didn't they've been harrassed ever since.
