I am interested in an aluminum mold, in the Thompson dual crimp groove .38/357 design, but in aluminum, 6-cavity, and taking a gas check. Iron or brass molds tire me too quickly. Can anybody point me to where I can get such?

Doesn't Lee have one like that ?

N.O.E. has a 160gr.

The Lee C358-158-SWC does come in 6 cavity ...but it only has one crimp groove .
It has a crimp groove , two lube grooves and a gas check . No dual (two) crimp grooves .
You could use the second groove as a crimp groove ... I'm not 100% sure it is in the exact correct location for loading as are the Lyman and NOE moulds .

NOE makes a reproduction of the Lyman #358156 boolit with two crimp grooves and gas check in aluminum . A 5-cavity NOE mould , to me , would be just as good or better than a 6-cavity Lee .

I've cast and loaded a lot of this design and found it a winner . In the late
60-70's and on , my Ruger Blackhawk 357 magnum digested thousands of rounds loaded in 38 special cases (357 cases were non existent ) sized .358" over 7.0 grs. Unique just like Skeeter Skelton wrote about!
