Back before the mag ban my BIL bought a Para frame kit with a couple extra mags.
Being in construction in those days he really had the feast or famine syndrome. Because of this he didn't get around to building this Para until just recently.
Between the two of us we've gotten it put together and working but are stumped by a small issue with the main spring housing.
The area it slips into in the frame is about .030 wider than any housing we can find and leaves a big gap along one side that simply looks ugly.
Now I did call Para, and promptly got told it wasn't possible, and no they did not have an over size main spring housing.
Now it sure seems to me that I saw an article or an advertisement for an over sized housing but for the life of me I can't find such a beast.
Any body got any ideas where I might find a maker of oversized main spring housings for a standard 1911?
