105 lee swc heavy???

Has anyone designed the lee 105swc,,with a bigger longer nose,,body being the same straight cylinder shape?
Bigger nose should take it up to 130 gr or so?
Think it would be awesome 9mm boolit, thanks

Be aware that some of these designs don't work well in 9mm. They were designed for the 38 Super.

More likely the 105 is a short 140. Same cherry, just adjusted the cut one less groove and band. The 140 is proven to be accurate in 38/357 caliber.

I have this mp275 mold,and its splendid!!
My alloy is 133 gr,,was thinking i wanted heavier.have shot 600 of these in my 210,,flawless.it has a huge lube groove,and my chronograph and tripod,is a covered mess,of felix lube,,but the 275 shoots awesome.

Take a look at the Lee 358-140-SWC ... looks just like a long 358-105-SWC !
Should be just the ticket .

Seems like that 140 would need to be seated really deep to feed in 9mm. I know my 105s are near flush with the case mouth and that is a short case. Just wondering about pressure. I have never tried the 140.

I treat the 105 SWC like a 124 SWC with a shrunken nose. The bearing surface is pretty much the same as a normal 124 grain bullet.

The 140 grain wadcutter is great in .38 Special target loads. It can be used in 9mm but there's a balancing act between seating it too deep vs fitting in your magazine. the Lee 140 SWC has the same bearing surface as a 158 RN or a normal 158 SWC.

The 105 gr SWC makes a dandy light . paper punching boolit in the 9mm Luger .
I have an old WWII Walther P38 that loves that little boolit ... being on the light side , the loads don't pound the old war horse ... she's got a few miles on her but still likes to get out and run .
