I am going to start casting for my EAA .45. I was given a Lee Mold 452-200-RF
(round flat nose) has anybody used this design? I have heard the round nose are more reliable for feeding, but this one has a flat nose, any recommendations in a Lee mold?
Thanks!

Will probably shoot good. I too had a ChuLai vacation, 70-71, too many unfriendly peace lovers for me.

I use it in my ACP.
Great shooting casting!
I make my lube, size it to .452. No leading, no primer signatures for issues.
The size of the casting keeps the mold up to temp. It casts very easily.

Steve here... Just tryed out my new Lee 45acp 200TL sixbanger this last weekend... Fumbled for a while till i got the melt and the mold hot enough. It was 14f here. Went to the range yesterday the bullets shot nice, no leading and not as smokey with the Lee alox tumble lube. I was shooting real light loads 3.6 of Bullseye

I use th SWC 200 gr but I use the 3.6 load in 700X seems to be the same as bullseye.SWC should feed as well as rn.if the gun is right.I have never had a failure to feed because of bullet.and I have two AMTs long slide and hardballer.and use that load at 50 yds in compitition.:coffee:

I have cast and shot literally thousands of these in 7different 1911's and various other .45 ACP and Colt (LC) guns as well and all eat them like a kid eating PB&J.
Like TAWILDCATT mentioned, if your gun is right and you are using good mags you will love this bullet. Two of the 1911's I mentioned are Springfield GI models.
Finding that these will not feed however would indicate your EAA needs tuned up IMHO. YMMV.:coffee:

Has anybody tried this bullet in an XD-45 ?? They literlly HATE semi-wadcutters, I hope it works because nobody on earth has a lee 6 banger 230 truncated cone mold in stock, so I ordered the 200rf.

I should have said I wanted a grease groove TC :-) THanks anyway, several of the usual suspects have the TL version
