Every time I try and add an image to a post it gives me an error message but not a reason. Just says unable to upload. The file is a jpg file.

This may help.

If your photo is over 250k then it will not load. This is about 800x800 pixels.

Hope this helps.

Minerat nailed it. I use a freeware program called "Irfanview" to size down modern pictures to what forums can handle.

Simple, easy to learn. Lets you crop, adjust size, rotate, all kinds of cool tools. When done save and upload.

Once you get the size small enough they will work.285500

75kb's was the biggest that made the upload in mine. I just set the size under image/resize to 640/480 and it works.
Hope this helps.

I've uploaded files over the years. Got maybe 30-40 in the site's library. But when I go to use one again, I can't. The site won't display the library, and I have to go and upload it all over again. I'm going to exceed my space allotment by filling it with duplicates if this keeps up.

Ideas?

I'm an old fogey running Firefox 52 over Windows XP-Pro, but that shouldn't shut me out, should it?

BTW I also use IRfanview frequently to change from one file format to another, as well as crop photos for publication.

Nope I still run Fixfire on an XP based system. Only size limit and storage seem to matter.
