Out of SRP
Got 4000 SPP anyone know if they would be a problem in AR 556.

How close are you might be able to do a trade. I would worry if doing full house jacketed rounds.

Pistol primers have a thinner cup so full pressure loads could be a problem. The thinner cup will also pose a slamfire concern.

I would not use them in full power loads.
Find someone to make a straight across trade for SR primers.
There seems to be a greater need for SPP than SRPs.
Put an ad in S&S.
I`ll bet someone close will make you a trade.

SPP are not a good idea unless the loads are pistol powder weeneee poppers. A couple pierced or blown can do erosion damage to the bolt face, including your face. Even the Remington 6 1/2s are marginal. Do some trading....

Im the odd man out here. I use CCI 500 small pistol primers in my cast 223 loads. They are 20 grains of 748 and a 70ish grain cast boolit. I haven't had any issues in my rifles, but YMMV. These are only running around 2000fps. As the above members stated, I DO NOT use them in top end loads.
