I have a couple of oversized "ammo cans" that used to store monocular night vision devices that I store my molds in. With desiccant packs I have had no issues. I only have a couple of handful molds so it serves my purposes.

I reuse the boxes that moog brand automotive stabilizer links come in.

They are exactly the correct length/ width/ depth to hold the 4 cavity brass hollow point miha mold wrapped up in a clean cotton rag with handles attached, several pieces of 2 stroke wetted rags, oil bottle, both Allen keys, set of leather gloves, piece of 0000 steel wool for servicing the pins and extension rods, and a snap on brand long jaw needle nose pliars.

When I want to cast I grab the box, everything I may need is inside.

I bought the 4' wide HF toolchest for about $300 when I was organizing about 3-4 years ago. My pin gauges and mics are in there too.

I decided to cast after work today, so I fired up the furnace, then went to grab the box.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210713/f3f9960345022574a9345b87cae9094f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210713/f69da56a7171ac1ebbcde9b617c9b598.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210713/de443115b7619f4f950418ae454d909f.jpg

The steels that are not on handles get coated inside and out with Mineral Oil USP and rubber banned together and put in a plastic box.

Steel moulds on handles get a coating of the Mineral Oil and put on a shelf in a pan.
Aluminum & brass moulds don't get that coating, they are shelved clean.

I just throw them in the boxes they came in (Lee) or the many brass ones just lay on a shelf, all in a nice pretty row! Nothing special here. No need. Nothing rusts/oxidizes/tarnishes in the desert.

I store my molds in a sealed box with some damp rid. This keeps everything from corroding. I also keep a list of molds that are in the box:

When a casting session is over, the last cast bullet, ball, or slick is left to cool in the mold. When the mold is cool/cold, it's wrapped tightly in Press 'n' Seal to keep the air out. Unwrapped, the mold is ready to go for the next casting session, no muss or fuss.
