This is for a 1874 Sharps copy. The man wants to use jacketd or 1/2 jackets in it. Has anyone ever tried them? Thank you JerryW

I sold a bunch (about 1000) of 41-250gr (.410 dia.) jacketed flat nose bullets to a guy in either Arizona or New Mexico. He shot them in his 40-65 and was extremely happy when he shot a 910lb New Mexico cow elk with them. He said he was grouping around 1.5" at 100 yards.
If I understand your question correctly, I would say yes it has been done with great success.
I can moke more of the bullets if you are interested. e-mail me.

Use 9mm brass.

I'm getting 205gr ish bullets using 9mm cases and some exposed lead. Actually what I'm doing is swaging .410 bullets then drawing them down to .401 since I only have a .410 swage die set.
