I just ordered a Lyman 356637 mold for my cz75 and wondered if anyone has a good load for this boolit in 9mm. I looked at my lyman edition #49 and of the powders listed the power pistol from 4.1 to 4.6 grains looks to yield the highest velocities. I have read that this mold drops closer to 153 grains with WW. If anyone currently shoots this boolit I would love to get your feedback. Thanks in advance. :D

I have played around with the HP version, so called devastator, with 4 gr AA#2 as a starter. The bullet length seems to work in a CZ75 and a Taurus Millineum Pro 3".

I use 3.7 gr of WSF with this bullet for a very mild...almost no recoil......... target or tac/prac target load...
if you have a 450 lubrisizer you can use a round piece of styrofoam...I use a spent 45 shell to punch this out......... and it will sit inside the lubrisizer so it does not get lube on the BB

I use this bullet in my TZ 75 over 4.5gr of Power Pistol and I get right at 1000fps. The lubing was a chore until I had Buckshot make a new ejector rod that beveled the same as the base to keep the lube off.

what did that ejector rod cost you?

I was quoted $12 including shipping and you have to send the sizer die to Buckshot to be fitted for the ejector inside. So total out of pocket is about $17 if you use a flat rate envelope to send the sizer and it is WELL worth it to keep the lube off the base.

I wonder if different lube would be more/less of a problem? I have loaded bevel base boolits in my 41 mag with lyman moly lube and never seen any ill affects from not cleaning the lube off the bevel. I would think that some of it moves up when the boolit enters the flare on the case? Anyway I am glad to hear that some have used it in th cz75 with no feeding issues.

Standard bevels are one thing, the 356637 has almost a boat tail. The Lyman presses have a constant pressure on the lube unless you back it off each pull of the handle. While I am sure that short duration exposure wouldnt hurt a thing, It may not be good long term. I got tired of wiping each bullet the first 1000 that I cast so I found a machinist to make a custom ejector to cup the base of the boolit and keep the lube off. It works great and saves me alot of time until I get around to ordering a Star sizer.
