Lyman 452488

Been casting for almost 2 decades but didn't join this site till a week or so ago.

Anyways, can anyone here tell me why Lyman discontinued the 452488 mould?
I'm really wishing I had bought a 4-cav instead of the 2-cav I bought 15 years ago...

Does anyone know what H&G the 452488 was a clone of?
Was it the #130? (Which would be the Ballisti-Cast #730)

Any info appreciated.

Just eyeballing it, I'd say your right on the # for the ballisticast mold. The 452486 would appear to be the old H&G #163 while the 452488 does appear to be a copy of the H&G #130 The ballisticast #s for these are #130 = #730 and #163 = #763

The Saeco #130 looks like it might be close as well.

Guess I'll write Lyman customer service and ask why they discontinued this mould. :roll:
