Lyman 452389 180gr Button Nose in .45 Colt or .45ACP Cylinder?

40 years ago I bought a Lyman 452389 2-cav steel mold for a few bucks at a gun show. (It also has "0911" on it.)
Throws a 180gr button nose slug.

The stubby slugs didn't feed reliably in my 1911, so I stored it away.

Now I shoot SASS Cowboy Action, have .45 Colt SAA revolvers, and am considering adding a Pietta 1873 Colt Convertible that comes with two cylinders -- .45 Colt and .45 ACP. Cool.

We shoot at close ranges and load lightly. Pinpoint accuracy and high velocity are not needed. I thought to myself, "Self? Maybe it's time to revisit my old Lyman mold!"

Anyone cast and shoot the 180gr Lyman 452389 in a .45 revolver? Think it would work?

Would load 3.5 grains of Trail Boss, per Hodgdon, behind the light slug.

On another thread, I mentioned I bought a bunch of .45 Colt brass that has been trimmed to oddball shorter lengths. Plan is to trim the shorter brass to Schofield length (1.1") and load it appropriately. I could shoot .45 Colt, "Schofield" .45 Colt, or, with the conversion cylinder, .45 ACP.

So, before I cast up a bunch, has anyone shot a 180 gr Lyman 452389 in a revolver successfully?

I shot a bunch of them in my Ruger .45 Convertible. I used the same load as in my 1911 wad gun of 3.7/Bullseye. Off the bench with a dot sight they would stay in 3-3.5"@ 50yds out of the Ruger.
