My sweet heart and I have been married 63 years today. We drove up the mountain to Oak Glen for breakfast. It is beautiful up there. Lots of apple orchards.

Congratulations! 63 years, wow! If you and the wife have tips and secrets to this longevity, share em with us younger folk! My fiancé and I have been together 7 years, Covid has delayed our wedding until next year.

Do not argue. A yes dear works better. Women will never be on the same plain as men. What she says today may well change in a few days. If she wants to paint the wall a certain color, why not. Does it really matter? Another thing , and this is very important. That was a delicious meal dear. If you have been together seven years, you have probably gotten the rough spots smoothed out. Don't let her get away.

Congrats on 63 years and in addition you are able to drive up a mountain and celebrate!

I am far behind at only 48 years. When I read your post I misread the last sentence ence to say, "never let her have her way." Ha

Congratulations youall! Great accomplisment by standards of today. Don't want to steal any of your thunder, so I'll say it this way. I married my first wife June 4th in 1954 and she is still number one all under the direction of our God. ! And "yes dear" and a few flowers along the way does do wonders.

GOPHER SLAYER I want to also say congratulations to you and Mrs. GOPHER SLAYER for the nice long run of 63 years. For sure it takes a lot of work to keep it going that long. It sounds like the breakfast spot up the mountain was a special place and a special treat. We like most of the rest are behind your run. The wife and I will chock up 54 years come August 20. Time does seem to get away. Especially when you are having fun. I agree that the "yes dear" and an "I love you" goes a long way to keep the skids greased. It also helps when I don't have to have the last word when we are having a discussion. I need to do a little more work on that one myself.
