A friend wants me to load up some B.P. ammo for his Springfield trap door Rifle. I am using a 535 gr. cast bullet but I cannot find much info. on loading that style bullet. I do not want to get into loading out to lands and grooves, simply easy to chamber with enough of a charge to compress.

60-65gr, and seat to the first driving band. Should chamber fine.

I cast a 405 for mine, crimp in the top groove, and call it good.
Never had any problems doing that.
