I've been working with a new Ranchdog TLC 432-265RF mould in my Marlin .44 Mag Cowboy, a great mould. Something I would like to try is running them through my RCBS Lubrisizer for sizing and lubing I'm not a big fan of LLA. What I am wondering is what top punch comes close to the profile of the bullet so that I wont damage it.

I do the same thing and use a 421. Get a little ring but it still shoots great out of my old MG Marlin.

Here's what I've used so far for the Ranch Dog bullets in my Lyman 4500's .
45 caliber - 638 or 649
44 caliber - 649
375 caliber - 635
35 caliber - 449
32 caliber - 8
30 caliber - 8
Not saying others won't work better but this is what I have on hand and they did a good job for me so far with the Ranch Dog bullets .

I have been using a 1/4"X20 bolt for most of my flat point boolits lately, and it works great, leaving NO marks at all. Stick the bolt in a drill press, and hold a file against the flats, and bottom of the bolt head to make it into a smooth flat punch. Cheap too.
