Question is about shooting PC bullets in gas operated semiauto's. Useful technique or fools' errand?

GONRA suggests "just tryin' it out".
If it shoots OK, disassamble gas system to see if it got gunked up.....
Good Luck!

I shoot them in my SKS with no problems. The only thing I'd suggest is to load up 1-5 rounds in each charge weight starting with the start charge and work up in .5 grain increments. This is what I did and I had to load the max charge to operate the action. Checked my gas system and there was no gunk in it.

It's a mixed bag.

In my 300 BO I had to have gas checks. Otherwise I got a lot of gas cutting at the port, enough to throw bullets everywhere, and lead up the rings on the bolt.

On my 350 Legend flat based boolits did fine.

Works fine in my ARs but if you push them hard you need GCs. If an adjustable GB, tweak it once in a while to prevent the adj. screw from getting stuck, grease or PC.
