Hi all ....in the low level data section on gmdr powders such as red dot blue dot bullseye etc are listed for my 4570 ... mine is a new marlin 1895 and I’m not a filler user. Is the Load and velocity listings there just computer generated Info or is it Genuinely actually tested ? A ton of my Internet forum research and checking of manufacturer’s listed loads gives me confidence with things like 10 grains of unique /405 cast , but with these other powders I need to be more certain prior to loading ...

If you click on the caliber tab it gives you the gun used and the barrel length and the test yardage. Their is also if memory serves a page discussing the data collection.

Hi tony. When I view the GMDR low level date page on my iPad , I see a list of calibres in black and white on the left part of the page. Then the main yellow page displays the grains weight and FPS speeds of the different powders .....but I can see no where to click on the caliber for the extra info u mentioned about test barrel type and length ?

I just checked, on my screen you can click on 45-70 government tab and get the info and then under it, it list the different bullets for the actual load data. Try clicking on the line "45-70 Goverment"

What is "GMDR?"

gmdr.com, I think it started as a cowboy rifle load data collection using mostly shotgun and pistol powders and grew from there. Its a great site. The data is the same data in the Oregon trail bullet co. load manual. It's on the web also as a PDF.

Yep, first click on the "Home Page" and read it.

Then click on the "Context Info". Then click on the cartridge of interest, eg "30-30 Ackley Improved", which gives info on the barrel used. Then click on the data under the cartridge menu item, "170gn RNFP".

It is all real data from firing tens of thousands of rounds. Read the text preceding the cartridge data pages. Then develop good safe reloading habits. It can be addictive .
