This morning, one of our cats, Lilly Bug, and I had a staring contest. I kept watching and watching and she never blinked...
Come to find out, cats don't need to blink.

IF they do blink at you slowly, then it is commonly referred to as a "Kitty Kiss".

When I saw the title,, I knew,,, You'd lose.
Cats are fun critters,, and their differences can make for a lot of interesting things.

Blinking,, is a movement. In the wild, movement is spotted by predators & prey a lot. Animals look into eyes & watch the eyes to see how an animal is going to act. If they can't see the eyes, it doesn't suspect danger as much.

Very true. In India and places where tigers still exist in the wild, people who work in the woods wear head coverings with eyes on the back. Tigers don't typically attack if the victim is looking at them.

I do that with my cat sometimes.
She gets bored and walks away, or goes to sleep.
