I just ordered some of that color from him. Should arrive this week.

You did good, maybe just a tad heavy on the power, try sifting the excess off. I do like that mould design.

They look great to me!

Thanks popper/zero. I agree, they looked a bit heavy. I think I’ll cut back on the number in the tub too. I did 25 at once in a 2cup container.

I am bias But Think they look great. A little heavy on the coating ...Ok... but that should not hurt anything as long as they will chamber :)

That is my secret powder to add to every color I use...great coverage and great appearance. Maybe use a quarter of the amount to the main color...ie: a teaspoon of red wine, black or whatever, add a quarter teaspoon or so to it. I have never used it alone.

"Perhaps" tap them if you are picking them up with tweezers or forcepts. I actually think they look great and they flowed well. I assume preheated to 400 and 15 minutes thereafter? They flowed well. Nice job!

Thanks Husker. I did tap, but apparently not much came off. 400:20min. I tried some more today and actually took the ‘shaken’ boolits and placed in an empty #5. I then lightly shook it for a few seconds. You could see extra powder in bottom. Tweezered them out and onto the pan and baked 400:20. Much better! Had some issues with sizing too. Left some ‘dirty’ marks on the bullets. I hadn’t cleaned the die, so cleaned it and did a little Fritzing on the inside. I then sprayed a little Hornady Case Lube inside and let it dry. All went well after that.

Thanks Smoke! Kinda look ok. Smash test OK, too. I was able to duplicate and improve the product today. Not as much powder on boolits, but looks like they covered well. Thanks again!

Looks as if you're using the non stick mats from wallyworld. My process is batch mode powder cure and the non stick mats in a quarter size sheet pan have made my life much easier. +1 on the forum suggestion to shake the boolits right out of the oven to minimize neighbor adhesion.

Those look great. Think you got the process down :) :)

don't cut back on the number in the tub, you need a minimal amount 15-20 to get good coverage. just sift/tap off the excess

Thanks Hickok!
Conditor - Will do. I’m hoping with my large oven I can bake 100 at a time.

What kind of oven do you have? toaster oven 100+
convection oven -- as many as you can fit.

This little PID-controlled convection oven has done 8# of boolits at a time.

Yessir. Except mine came from Home Depot. It was a simple pluck to remove. No trouble.

I have the Oster Extra Large Convection oven. I started it at 450. Once up to 400, I dropped it to 400 and it maintained throughout.

I’ve read your recommendation on the ceramic briquettes. I’ll keep them in mind.
