Hello all, for a few years, I've had this nagging thought in the back of my mind and can't shake it, I need a 50bmg. Accumulating the necessary tools and components are on the agenda. So I need to know what you 50 loaders are using for equipment along with your likes, dislikes and recommendations, steer me in the right direction. Thanks.

RCE makes a 50 version of walnut hill. Corbin’s mega-mite may be one of the strongest but is 1400. I think Dillon makes a single stage

The Rock Crusher is awesome from what I can see. It's a little expensive though.

The Lee Classic Cast can be converted to make 50 BMG, or you can buy the 50 BMG press, and it will come with all the tools and dies you need to load for it. It's the most economical option out of them.

Thanks for the replies. Everything involved with 50bmg is expensive. That's why I'm doing it a little at a time. The Dillon has caught my eye, but it's a one trick pony, very little application for any other cartridge. I'll have to look into the Corbin. The Rock Crusher is a beast and expensive. Does anyone know if the Hollywood Sr. turret is up to the task? It looks like it has the size but does it have the leverage?

I had the RCBS kit and liked it.

I got my powder and GI pulls from Jeff Bartlett.
Check into a different scale too. You'll be weighing out powder around 200-220 grains per charge.
Regular scales go up that high, but the volume will overflow the pan.

If I wasn't loading AMAXs, For GI FMJ stuff, I made a Lee style dipper.
I weighed out a charge, put it in a .50 brass, then cut it off where the powder came up to.

For a loading block-- holes drilled in a piece of 2 x 10 works well.
Drill all the way through, and glue it to a piece of plywood or sheet metal.

My cousin shot 50 in Arizona .
1000 yds.
. He wears pacemaker.
Now got rid of because he shot the wire loose.
No more 50.

if can help, RCBS AMMOMASTER will take straight the costly .50 dies, and it's big & stout enough to perform the needed duty.

This is the route to take. Expensive but so is everything else in the .50 world.

I use pulled surplus 50 BMG API (Armor Piercing Incindiary) where allowed. I get sub MOA out at 1000 to 1600 Yards with this. http://www.patsreloading.com/patsrel3/Items.aspx If not allowed at a ranger area; I use surplus 50BMG Ball.

I have found this mix provides a very accurate and cost effective solution for reloading for my AR-50.

I would wait to buy the rest of the stuff until you have a shipping container full of powder. At a 220 grain charge weight you get 31 rounds from a pound of powder.

Powder for reloading 50 BMG is amongst the cheapest per pound (Of course there are only 30 rounds to the pound for 50 BMG).
