Pellet molds

Long time boolit caster, but recently began air rifle shooting. My google search didn't turn up much about making 22 cal air gun pellets at home. One or two hits about swaging (seems way more complex/involved than swaging handgun or rifle bullets). So, any ideas where to look for info regarding molds for casting air gun pellets?

I have considered casting only to be prepared if supply ever was compromised. Commercial pellets are too well priced for me to waste time casting. I cannot imagine casting pellets as fun. If there is someone who really loves doing it, I will pay cost of postage and lead....have fun...lol

I cast .22 round balls from a sharp shooter buckshot mold. Works great in both my Hatsan vortex air rifles.

Like was mentioned above, it is good to have an alternative supply. Two is one, one is none.

Why not? I had to search several vendors to find some 22 pellets in stock. I'm all set up for casting and cast for nearly every firearm I own. So, why wouldn't I cast for my air rifle? Money isn't everything!

22s are difficult to begin with. I would try round balls before attempting something under 20 grains with a skirt.

I have also wondered about casting for my .20/5mm
I found online one time a guy over in Europe I think was making molds and selling them, but don't think I saved the link.
I too would like to have a mold to fall back on if times ever come to that.
It would be a time consuming process I'm sure, but at least it would keep you in pellets.

How many pounds of pellets would you deem adequate for your BOB?
Carry that on top of your .223 and what not. Are the pest buisness in an apoctalyptic future your main interest?
Rarely if seldom will cast pellets be on par with good store bought pellets. Stock up when they'er there and bee good for a lifetime. Use your time for firewood, clean water supply and other important things.
