View Full Version : Would a sticky of 3D Printing file sites help?

I just saw this - Nice! Knew it was coming soon :)

What I think might help folks on here would be to have a list of the many STL (and other format) file sites, those are the files CAD software makes to print, that your slicing software then turns into 3D Printer instructions.

There are sites that are free or pay for some models, sites that make cosmetic models, sites that make functional models (One person sells a 1911 model that you can completely strip to pieces, $12 or so, you have to add metal springs and the barrel has a solid section - but could be fun), I am just starting to think on how to organize this, so it may get a little messy then get cleaned up soon...

Oh, free CAD software, that could be in another sticky or same one, more rethinking needed LOL

Brain isn't 100% "on" today, maybe tomorrow.
