Quick review on my new NOE 356-135FR

Been looking for a new 9mm mold, and this one fits the bill perfectly.

I am very happy with this mold.:drinks:

I am firmly entrenched in powder coating, so the lack of a lube groove is a plus.8-)

plus, they drop out with ease.

they drop at 133grs with 6Sb/2Sn/92Pb. Sized to .356 with the LEE die

I worked up a load with Alliant SPORT PISTOL powder on my trusty Dillon 650

I always cast and coat in the cold dry winter air, this is the first time I've powdercoated in the humid spring WX, and it shows, Smokes Carolina Blue doesn't look as smooth as usual. they still shot very well.

Very nice. Good looking mold and good looking bullets.

What size does it drop?

Have not purchased any non-LG molds...yet....maybe someday, but the LG ones take PC and shoot so well, not sure I want to change anything. The non-LG might drop-out with less fuss. Any targets to post for the accuracy you are experiencing...similar or better than traditional LG boolits? Also wondering the size they drop at. Good work.

When I started casting, I remember measuring some, and was happy to see they were larger than .356"

I forget the size, but after coating, they are about .358"

Accuracy is excellent, I had no trouble clanging 90+yard steel....every bit as good as these SNS in this video I made a while back

Nice shooting and cool range. A range like that in my back yard is on the bucket list.

I have the lube groove version of that bullet and agree it's an excellent design. 3rd from left in pic. I've been loading with either 4.5gr of Unique or CFE Pistol.

For comparison the Lee 358-125, MP 358-125 NLG HP, NOE 358-135 HP, and MP 358-135. They are all nearly 130 gr with my alloy- 130gr, 135gr, 128gr, and 133gr respectively. I've got some loaded up for a shootout between the four of them whenever I can eventually make it back to the range.

Just got a similar - no lube groove - brass 6 cav MP mold - casts them at .358, so can size for .357 mag, 9mm, or 38super. Am going to miss breathing in the vaporized lube.
