I'm a newby at casting, but a Brother has hooked me up. Years ago I cast round ball and Buffalo bullets for my Muzzleloader and they worked great. I used a product called "foo foo dust" as a flux and it brought a ton of impurities from my old plumbers lead. will this stuff work on wheel weights also?.

Foo Foo Dust might be a better title to this one.

Welcome, MoldyJoe is my younger Brother and I had never heard of his Foo-foo dust. I think he got it at a rendezvous.

Actually I got it from and old timer at Galensons (the first reloaders store in Salt Lake). Small plastic bottle, when I get home I'll look at the label to see who made it.

Sorry, being old school I didn't realize that Foo-Foo dust is now a street name for the white powder that drives idiots crazy, and therefore is also one of the reasons most of us reload and carry. Regardless, I can't find the stuff anymore so my question is for a new guy that is cheap what can I use to purify WW's or dirty plumbers lead?

His Christmas gift this year was a used RCBS JR press, a LY 45, Lee Auto prime and a 356402 2 cav along with a 358242 2 cav with handles, sizer die in 358 and top punches. He can find his own candle stubs.

FOO FOO DUST=Broic acid.... I think....You can buy it at any drug store. Use it very lightly in cracks and voids it kills most if not all insects. Cockroaches have no resistance to it. Slow but very effective insect killer. My mother used it to rinse eyes out. Very versitle stuff.
