They’re around. I typically find them at gun shows, but they also show up on auction sites, infrequently.

The .243/.244/6mm, like the .270, never was touted much as a cast boolit caliber, since they made their reputations as high intensity game rounds. They showed up in a time period when interest in cast boolits was waning (after WWI) or had waned to a minimum, ie, the .243 in the 50s.

Actually trying the boolits in the rifles shows that they shoot them just as well as do .25 and .30 calibers, at least IME.

Lyman stopped with theirs and RCBS did so a few years later. NOE has some good ones.

Your best bet might be NOE , Lyman catalogs none .
When Lyman dropped all 41 Magnum moulds ... NOE came to my rescue ... they have a good selection and they make a LOT of discontinued Lyman designs .
I see 5 different designs fron 46 grs to 106 grs . www.noebulletmoulds.com
You may have to place an order or see if a group buy is happening but go to the site and join the forum and set up an account and get the ball rolling ... they can't stay sold out of everything forever.
To make a buck Swede Nelson has to sell moulds and I know he ain't running no non-profit foundation .

Yeah, .24 to .28 caliber make a lot more sense for cast boolits than .22.
I was threatening to make a cast cartridge rifle with 30-30 cases and 6.8SPC loading dies.
But, life intervenes.

The really tough thing to find anymore would be gas checks for 6mm boolits.

I remember a former member here- carpetman, that had done some cast with a .243, evidently things went well until he took it deer hunting.

I've never even tried to cast for any of the .243's I've had over the years, just treated them to condom loads and high velocities.

I just bought a 245496 online a couple months ago. They are out there, you just need to keep looking.

Saeco 85g with starting JB,"book" load of IMR4831. Love this 100 yard group which is why it got saved.

Had been tearing it up all that week with a 6mmR,1980 R700V,6-18 vintage USA Redfield, using this Saeco. The load, came out swinging and was a string of bugholes. Then late in the week, had someplace to be and rushed through this group.... kept it to remind myself how bad you can jerk a flyer, haha.

The only 24 mold I have is the old Lyman 245496 Loverin mold. My wife's 243 with a 1/12 twist loves it and regularly shoots sub MOA. My 6mm Rem with a 1/9 twist won't shoot it at all - period. Every rifle barrel has a distinct personality so your results may be different, of course.
