I don't know where else to ask this question: why can't I list something for sale in the swapping and trading forum? I have been a member since 2012 (I think that is the right year). I have posted 30 or more posts. Is there other requirements?

I had the same problem fan , I contacted the mod and he very graciously fixed whatever the problem was.

You need to read the stickies for newcomers. They explain the requirements. One of those is for 30 Substantive Posts. I've been here since early 2016, so not quite as long as you have, but I have over 600 posts. I wouldn't bet I have 30 substantive posts yet, as those are ones helping other with answers to their questions, not just chiming in on something. Buying from S&S doesn't count, either. Look at your profile, and it will tell you when you joined, and how many total posts you have. Get involved, get to know people, and make some contributions. It will be a lot more fun than worrying about if you can post stuff for sale yet. I'm not a moderator or owner here, just another member.

Well my 30 must have been substantial for they just allowed me to post in the trading and selling forums, nor was I worried, I have more SUBSTANTIAL things to worry about.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I'm sure a moderator would have fixed it for you if it had not........

"Substantive" not substantial. I've got a substantial waist right now. ;) Glad it worked out for you! There are worries, and WORRIES. And sometimes it's the little piddley stuff that most bothers you.

Believe it or not "substantive" and "substantial" come from the same root word, "substance!" I'm glad it worked out too. Now I have no worries!!
