No idea, but it took some skill to make.

It also looks very awkward to use, at least to me.

What size boolit does it cast? I’ve never seen anything like it, I’d like to know more about it also.

Is it made by Shiloh? I have a 4 cavity round ball mould made by them, with two cavities on top, and two on the bottom. I did see one like yours on ebay a while back, but can't remember for certain who made it

Gewehr-guy is right, I believe. Shiloh Products of Farmingdale NY made accessories for Civil War reenactors before they started making Sharps rifles. That was their design for the four-banger Minie Ball mould. Definitely best run by two recruits at the skirmisher battalion’s encampment. One to pour and one to open and dump.

I also have one of their 4-cavity 0.454” round-ball moulds; two on top and two on the bottom; blocks and sprue cutters like a regular two-cavity mould. I’m surprised that somebody hasn’t copied the design. It would work for boolits too, and be much less weighty and off-balance than an in-line four-cavity mould. Just a twist of the wrist to turn the bottom up. Using one of those single-handle clamping holders might make it even easier to flip over for the second pour.
