I bought this gun with bundle of other old guns a few weeks ago. I went through in in three days time and refinished the stock and re blued all the metal. It turned out pretty nice imo. I found some RWS 6mm ammo at the local gun store two days ago and tested it out. At 15 yards I stacked two shots in the same hole! It was printing directly above the bullseye and about an inch high. It didn’t eject the shells. I had to pry the ejector loose to jet the shells to eject. I’m guessing the chamber is a bit ruff and I need to polish the chamber so the spent shell will release. The inside of the barrel was pretty rusty inside so it wouldn’t surprise me. The rifling did polish up pretty nice. The thumb assist is broken off the breech so I will have to look for a replacement. Anyone else shoot these?

Before my three day make over.

My old shooting mentor had a 4mm Zimmerstutsen.
